Hailing from the Mpumalanga capital Nelspruit, SOUL OF A NEW MACHINE is the latest product of the ever growing SA metal scene, started in an egg-boxed up room in March 2009.
The four piece consists of very capable and experienced musicians who have come together to create a crowd churning, brutal array of heavy metal songs what will get head banging and fists in the air!
The ensemble is made up of Riaan Cordier on lead/rhythm guitar, Leeroy Snyman on bass and drummer Barry Odendaal. The four piece is completed by Pieter van der Walt on vocals, who fronted Nelspruit metal pioneers C4.
They have played clubs and festivals with great crowd response and a growing fan base, stating Nelspruits legendary Blue Moon amongst their favourite venues.
The bands influences range from old school Death and Thrash greats like Pantera, Sepultura and Metallica, to present day destroyers like Chimaira, Soulfly, InFlames and Soilwork to name a few.
Their performance promises to deliver brutal and emotional energy that will leave audiences well and truly entertained.
